This second prototype developed after a visit to Pete Haycock`s studio in Offenbach/Frankfurt.

I brought him 2 of my guitars, he wanted to test (..and kept both of them!), so we went through guitar designs, discussing what he would like to have as a “Pete Haycock signature guitar”. He drew a first sketch and made some comments, see the sketch.

I used this to make the first rough prototype and after testing & discussing several details, this version materialised.

 

Now we are quite close to the final result. Some features like the f-hole position & size, colour etc. will be different, but you can see here, in which direction we are going.
The body & neck is made of Mahogany hollow body-construction (special version). Using Schaller-tailpiece with fine tuners & roller bridge & “Duesenberg”-Pickups, this beauty is equipped with the best hardware available.

Here is Pete visiting my workshop to pick up the PH-Signature prototype, together with his friend,,singer/ guitarist Glen Turner (Beatles Revival Band, ex guitarist in the rock opera “Tommy” with THE WHO, etc.)
We had a lot of fun together that day, especially when Glen tested the “Chantalle 1”,( He must have liked it, he took it with him, and uses it on tour now).
